Misa Touch of Violet Fauxnad

Hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend! I would do a Labor Day-themed ‘nad but then I would have no idea how to do it (haha). Apparently I’ve been in a purple/white mood lately. Here’s another one of those patterns that looked boring on the plate but stunning on the nail:

American Apparel Peacock Fauxnad

Lately I’ve been on a Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure kick. I’ve been trying to layering it over any color that I think might look good. That’s good and bad at the same time. Good: it’s beautiful. Bad: it’s very hard to find a ‘nad that won’t look to busy with it. Here’s a Funky French that worked out okay (though I think it looks way more busy in real life).

Mavala Riga Konad

There’s something about this rose design that made me avoid it. I think it just looked a little cheesy directly from the plate. I was so wrong! This almost works as a full finger plate for me, and it is just super cute on the nail! It reminds me of stained glass!

FingerPaints Bada Bing Bada Blue Konad

If the next few updates are going to contain CND Sugar Sparkle, it’s because I just think it’s so cool! I added Sugar Sparkle with a mid-tone denim blue and it’s just amazing! The m75 plate is growing on me. It seems pretty versatile after you get over the typical Konad flower motif :-P

Oh and I didn’t notice how horrible my cuticles look until after the photo was taken and uploaded a few days later (after it has been chipped and gross). Sorry!!!

Barry M Gray Konad

For those of you who like Creative Nail Design’s Effects collection, they just recently came out with the Sugar Sparkle (silver micro glitter). It’s simply stunning!

Sally Hansen Grape Going Konad

Creative Nail Design’s effects are quite awesome! I layered this with Creative Nail Design’s Crimson Sparkle and the color really sort of reminded me of Clarins 230! Sorry I covered it up with gold, but I think it adds a nice contrast to the purple:

Sally Hansen Teal Takeoff Konad

Last year, I found couple new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri shades that I thought were pretty cool. I’ve been trying to find something similar to Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal (because I’m cheap). While this might not be too close, I still really like the shade.

Sorry about the blurry picture (and the tipwear :( ). The weather outside sucks and this color is very pesky with flash photography! Thanks for looking!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit Konad

Here’s another so-so design from the new plates that looks kinda bleh on the plate, but not bad on the nails. Of course, the color combo doesn’t hurt either ;) This reminds me of Star Trek. Spock would be proud (maybe).

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patty’s day is a day of celebration, green beer, and green nails! This is one of my favorite holidays for nail art (Easter is another fun one too!). Technically this is not a 3 or 4 leaf clover, but the design sort of reminded me of it. I don’t think Konad has a real St. Patty’s day plate (yet). This is as close as it gets for now:

Hope y’ all have a safe and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Remember to always have a designated driver :) !

Claire’s Hawaii Konad

Claire’s is an interesting place. Honestly, if they did not have nail polish, I probably would not visit the store. I have seen the layered polish and decided to give it a try. It doesn’t exactly give you the marbled effect, but I guess the color is pretty cool.

That color reminds me of chalk, so I mattified it :)
